For such a small Firefox plug-in, StumbleUpon wears a lot of hats. Random Web site surfer, social networker, social bookmarker, site reviewer--it's a powerful little app for 170Kb.
Installing and removing it is just as simple as any other Firefox add-on, and we struck no snags when we used it with other plug-ins or programs. Once activated, one click is all it took to get going. The "Stumble!" logo that's part of the proprietary toolbar whips the user around the Net at the user's pace, based on categories selected during installation. Hundreds of topics are available and can be updated at will, with no selection limit.
Other StumbleUpon functions are just user-friendly. A click on the toolbar's "thumbs-up" and "thumbs-down" icons make ratings a cinch, and another click is all it takes to share sites, to update the friends list, to view the rated pages list, to read reviews of the page, to peruse the menu, or to search the StumbleUpon database.
Sometimes, "stumbling" would take us to a StumbleUpon page that reminded us to upload a profile image or some other annoying-but-trivial nonsense. Another "stumble" would whisk us to our next random Web page.
If Web surfing is the new channel surfing, then StumbleUpon should be your remote.

"Ingenious, easy and satisfying!"
Pros: Sometimes search engines don't lead us very far or sometimes they mislead us. This is where Stumble comes to the rescue.
It's not a search engine, but a web portal that takes us directly to the web pages of the selected topics, or even randomly chosen sites. And what sites! They seem to originate from the farthest corners of the Web. From fun filled, humorous sites to fantastic internet tools. Check out the range of topics.
In short, Stumble is great!!

Version: StumbleUpon 2.89
Pros: After you install this program head to your own personalized little profile where you can choose over 100 different categories to personalize your web preferences. This program is awesome, I have been on the net kind of just lost for so many years, this program has helped me in research, Home remedies, and much more. I highly recommend this program if you are an internet junky.
Cons: If you want to look at any of the adult content they will put your profile on the adult list and wont let your profile be seen by anyone not in that category permanently.

"Works great! Like a tourguide for the web."
Pros: I love this extension and use it all the time. I use it like a TV remote when I surf the web, and it always goes to an interesting channel. You can't even say that about TV.
I also like the ability to be a part of an interactive community of fellow Stumblers with similar interests. If you're looking 2 date, there is no shortage of others there wanting the same thing, by the way
Cons: It would be nice 2 have a "home" icon in the tool bar so that users can change their preferences more easily. I still can't find a place to request a lost password.

Version: StumbleUpon 2.89
Pros: Brilliant for when you're bored and want something to keep you occupied. Highly customisable, you can select from a range of options to control what kind of webpage you "Stumble" onto. There is a rating system in place, which helps keep the best stuff ranked high and the rubbish chucked out.
Cons: If you have a small range of preferences, you can find seeing the same page now and again. Nevertheless, a useful and fun piece of software.
