Stress Reducer is an application that can help you do just that. It's simple and easy. Select a picture of a shell by touching the button on the app. Once you find a shell you like, put your iPhone to your ear (or if you have an iPod it will play through the external speaker) and hear the ocean waves through the shell (your iPhone speaker). Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and relax. You'll feel the weight of the world lift off your shoulders. The iPhone screen will turn off once you put it close to your head, so if you're in a dark room you can forget your even holding a phone. You can turn the volume up and down easily while holding the phone to your ear. Because it's coming from the internal speaker, no one around you will be able to hear the ocean sounds play. Each shell has a different sound, from waves crashing to seagulls and other ocean or sea sounds. Touch a picture of a shell to get some quick instructions on how to use the app, plus see some of the other apps we offer.
