"Test DRive Failed."
Version: Streaming Video Recorder 2.0.2
Pros
Could not find any
Cons
Would not let me test the system - Free trial failed
Summary
I downloaded the test copy. I went to a web page to test the program. On the page were running advertisements on the side. The program loaded 5 of the advertisements and shut down saying I had exceded the limit for one day. I never got to load the video I wanted.

"Wondershare Streaming Video Recorder for flash videos"
Version: Streaming Video Recorder 2.0.2
Pros
Super easy
Great resultsCons
Not working with Netflix
Summary
If your main object is to copy protected flash videos for personal use, this is the one to buy! It is so easy: a) start the product running b) open IE c) start the video (Wondershare will then start copying without any prompting) d) when finished, rename it something meaningful e) play it using Wondershare's Player - or use Realplayer, etc. Looks just as good as the original video. And btw you can mute the sound while copying - which is not the case for a rival product. It is also possible to record several at a time, though I have not tried this yet. My only issue is when I try to copy another format, namely a Netflix film, it fails. Tech Support very nicely sent me a list of suggestions, but none of them have worked so far. I may get this straightened out at some point, but meanwhile it was worth the price to be able to copy flash videos. (Be sure to get the discount price - go out to its homepage if it does not provide the discount from the Cnet page.)
Followup: Every time you re-open the Recorder, the previously shown recordings will be 'gone'. Don't worry - they are in a software-assigned Windows folder. Do renames, copies, etc from that folder. Also FYI, the video will be fully copied to the folder well before it finishes playing. While being copied, Wondershare shows a down arrow at the left of the recording dataset. When copying is finished, Wondershare shows a check mark. So once you see the check mark, you can stop the video and go to the folder.

Updated on May 27, 20112nd followup: If you run Ad-Aware spyware software, EXIT it before starting any Wondershare product. Otherwise you will get a false Trojan virus notice, and parts of Wondershare will be removed, thus requiring a reinstall of the Wondershare product. (After reinstall, I ran several virus scanners to make sure Wondershare was not truly infected - the problem lies with Ad-Aware).
