From ItWorks :StormPredator provides personal near real-time NEXRAD doppler radar images from any location in the USA on your PC desktop. It has an exclusive storm tracker and predictor tool, plus personal scan zone and a distance measuring tool that helps you track storms, predict ETA, and plot storm paths. No data fees, radar images are FREE. It's like having your own personal live Weather Radar on your desktop. Also, send alerts & radar pix to cell phones. Version 2.57 fixes a few bugs and adds some small feature enhancements like always on top for mini-mode and a way to call external programs on alerts.

Version: StormPredator 2.57
"Not what it appears to be. Just a cute, flashy, gimmick."
Pros: It looks slick and cool. It also has a few tricks you can do with it but....
Cons: All it does is take old and not necessarily current radar images that you can get for free at Weather Underground and they added a sweeping hand that makes you think it's actually and currently scanning the weather. It was very buggy from the start. I had two city images, one over the other every time I used it.

Version: StormPredator 2.57
"Allows you to actually use weather radar w/o being expert"
Pros: Simple to use, FREE DATA doesn't charge any data fees/subscriptions, provides personal alerting capability via email, pager, cellphone, great visual design & skins, storm path tracker
Cons: requires a decent PC and video card to run to full potential, won't run on old clunker Win98 P200...
