Stellar Smart Finder gives you a hierarchical representation of drive or folder content in three types of views: 'Graphical view', 'List view', and 'Column view'. These three views provide different ways of searching files and folders on your Mac OS X drive. The graphical view or Sunburst chart shows you the file or folder size along with the storage hierarchy. It consists of a core that represents the root folder and a few successive layers around the core. Each sector on a layer represents either a file or a folder contained within the root. The wider the sector, the larger is the size of the corresponding file or folder. This elegant representation denotes a hierarchical tree map. When you select a specific sector on the chart, the path of the file or folder belonging to this sector is shown below the chart. The total number of files and folders contained within the folder currently opened for preview in the application is displayed at the bottom of the application window. This OS X Finder software allows you to carry out a range of file or folder operations from within the application itself. When you right-click a particular sector on this chart, you get three options: 'Open' to open the selected file or folder, 'Remove' to remove the file or folder from the system, and 'Reveal in Finder' to open the containing folder. The 'Column view' displays data storage hierarchy within the selected folder through a fly-out column list. The size of a file or folder is displayed below its name. You can perform the same file or folder operations by simply doing a right-click and selecting the desired option. The 'List view' shows content of the selected folder as a detailed list of all the contained files. The advantage of this Alternative Finer for Mac is that it lets you quickly identify large files and bulky folders on your drive. Upon finding all the large or unnecessary files, you can remove them directly from the application and perform a Mac cleanup.
