Summary

I had almost half of my external hard drive filled with photo and videos of all kind including college reunions, birthday bashes and few movies. The disk utility almost could not recognize the drive and made me away from my photos. I frozed by quickly got the Stellar Phoenix Mac tool which ws free to try for a preview. All I did was to run the demo of this tool for the first time on my Mac and check if it will work out for me. It took time to scan the large HD but finally left me with much relief as the left menu showed all of the inaccessible data from the drive. This made me register the tool and did an actual recovery. I did not mind spending 100 dollars or the tool because it gave me back my work. Thank-you so much. You made a appreciating software with good looks.

"Totally crap, no refund, beware!!!"

Couldn't find any pro...
At least the support guys are friendly, but this is not the reason for me to buy such a software

Cons

always crashes with a hard disk, regardless which scan method (hard disk is ok, checked with disk utility and also tech tool pro with surface scan)
support couldn't help, most of them seem to be helpless and incompetent while the remote access sessions
support promised a functional update again and again, every time with a certain timeline (like "within 48 hours"), but they couldn't keep any of their promises
to make an image from the hard disk to scan the image instead doesn't work, scan founds just nothing
so it turns out this software is totally crap for me on Mac OS 10.8 (might work for others though)

What is really bad: I have bought a non-functional buggy software which don't give me any result and they couldn't help me with an appropriate support but also won't give me a full refund!

Summary

Their refund policy is about not to provide any refund at all, there is no intention for that from the beginning. And that means a customer will always loose the money, and that is what their lawyers intended as they wrote the policy! They could always say there is a support and they could always say they couldn't find a bug (which a user could never proof). Their refund policy is nothing else than a get the money and run policy.

So they couldn't help me, and won't refund, but just send a link to their refund policy. Which seems to be more important than a satisfied customer.

DON'T BUY this crappy software!!! As you could see here I am not alone with that opinion.

"Will not consider Refunds BEWARE"

Nothing redeeming that I can think of. They use an Indian Call centre as a Firewall to keep genuine complaints away from the real management. I have tried numerous times to get a refund and keep getting offered insincere attempts at offering Software support when I have clearly stated that I have no wish to use their software as it doesn't work and there is no support when it goes wrong

Cons

Tried to get a refund after a day in which I had to recover some data. I used the free download and did a scan and could see the previews of the file to recover. I only had a day in which I had to keep the original Panasonic P2 card before I returned to the rental house. I bought the software at 100$ and then found on the Sunday that the activation key that they sent didn't work. No support when I emailed them to the following Monday by which time it was too late. Had to return the P2 card and now the call centre won't give me a refund. They are deliberately ignoring my requests offereing technical support when I have no use for the software. A total RIP OFF

Summary

AVOID at all costs. There is a culture of short term gain within this company and they seem deliberately oblivious to the idea of customer satisfaction. I feel like the money has been taken from me with nothing in return...

Finally only after posting three negative reviews on various software websites suddenly they seem interested in giving me a refund! I would still say stay away from this company until they radically change their attitude towards their customers. Interesting to read so many other negative reviews from other dissatisfied customers since going through this experience.

"Don't buy this software"

Destroyed all files
No support

Summary

I tried the demo version first and it shows all the files it can recover. After paying the fee for the full version I have tried to recover them but all files came out damaged.
They worked fine when I recovered them with a different software
The support is no help. I have send about 10 emails back and forth. All have been answered from different indian names and they never really tried to help and they don't give a refund.
Don't pay money for this scam!

"Fake product"

There is nothing special about this software.

Cons

They trick you to buy their product and does not work.

Summary

The people you can talk to on the phone (tech support and sales) are powerless and can not help you to get your money back, their order dept. is just sending you automated email and you never can talk to anybody to complain.

"Only promises. The stolen me money for nothing"

Nothing. I've bought it to recover some old DVD on 24 april. After four weeks they promised to refund me, but it's not true

Cons

The program it's not able to recover any video DVD as promised
I was assisted from support people changing every few days. And every time I needed to start exlain again. Horrible
Don't waste your money
They proposed me to use an other CD DVD recovery software and they would refund me for this
I did, but this was not doing what they promised
I had 9 files on my video DVD. The recovered DVD was about 2 million little files in 774 folders
Unusable
