Unlike other safety suites, Steganos Security Suite 2006 does not contain antiviral, antispam, or antispyware tools. Rather, it gives you numerous tools for securing the data on your hard drive and wiping out data. You can encrypt an entire 256GB drive and render it invisible. The Shredder module uses several secure algorithms to destroy data, while The Internet Trace Destructor removes the recent browser history, desktop traces, and usage history from many third-party applications. We particularly like the ability to quickly burn encrypted files onto a CD or a DVD, as well as the excellent e-mail encryption tools. The AntiTheft can help assist you in locating your laptop should someone pilfer it. Right-clicking the suite's system-tray icon lets you load any of the program's dozen modules without loading the entire suite. The password manager tracks and encrypts passwords and can automatically enter passwords on Web sites. Any user concerned with privacy should strongly consider adding this versatile, feature-packed application to his or her security toolkit.Publisher's description
From Steganos :Steganos Security Suite is a comprehensive and easy-to-use encryption software package. The product provides 128-bit AES encryption and now can encrypt and store up to 256GB of data in the Safe in real time, thus enabling users to securely archive large data and pictures files. It also contains the latest version of Internet Trace Destructor, which destroys 150 different types of PC/Internet traces; a larger Portable Safe for secure data transport; free, automatic product updates; and automatic start-up of applications.
Steganos Security Suite continues to feature the File Manager; one-click e-mail encryption; the Steganos Shredder and Deep Cleaning Shredder, which completely eliminate unwanted files, as well as remnants of hard-drive data that previously were deleted by other means; and a multilingual dictionary of more than a half million commonly used words that shouldn't be used as passwords. Version 7.0.4 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Pros: This program does everthing it states. It is the best!
Cons: It's Internet destructor hasn't many plugins. You can use Cyberscrub, Evidence Eliminator or Window Washer with it.

"Seems like a great program, but big brother is hiding inside."
Pros: Seems like one of the easiest to use privacy suites out there, the encryption algoryhythyms seem to be top notch.
Cons: This piece of software is CONSTANTLY trying to call home under the auspices of checking for updates. However it appears nearly impossible to deactivate this feature and even when it seems you have zone alarm reports that it STILL is attempting to communicate with its makers. If you are serious about protecting you personal data and information this interesting little feature alone would keep me from even considering using this companies software for any reason.
