Startup Delayer helps users avoid a slow system start by giving them control over programs that automatically load when Windows boots up.
This program provides a simple interface to work with. The screen is dominated by the list of programs your computer opens when starting Windows. Above this list is a short row of icons that allow you to add and remove programs and organize the time they are opened.
Adding a program is as simple as locating it in the file tree and then assigning it a specific time to open after Windows has begun. From there it is listed, along with the others, on the main screen. One interesting addition is spacing all program load times out evenly. This takes a lot of work from the user by simply timing every program to automatically open at staggered intervals.
Startup Delayer has isolated a problem that many computer users suffer from and provides an efficient, simple way to solve it. It's suitable for any user who wants more control over start-up programs.
Publisher's description
From r2 studios :When Windows loads it's Startup file, it attempts to load every program in there at the same time. Therefore if you have quite a lot of programs starting when Windows starts, each program will try and grab CPU time so that it can load.
If each program tries to do this at the same time, you soon notice the slow down that occurs, due to your CPU trying to help all the programs to load, and your hard disk accessing multiple files.
Startup Delayer allows you to setup how many seconds after Windows has started, to load each program.

Version: Startup Delayer 2.5.138
"Eases load during startup & allows partial startups."
Pros: Can spread startup programs over time, giving them chance to complete their startups without overtaxing the CPU. Allows me to skip individual startup items at will, or to abandon startups at any point.
Cons: Other programs add items not always displayed. Does not control system startup items, only at user login.
Summary: Does its task well, but I have to recheck it after installs and updates.

Version: Startup Delayer 2.5.138
Pros: It does help in slowing down some unused programs to be loaded later and thus make it faster to load things. It is best to put things that just aren't important to load first, but you still want them loaded later.
Cons: You only want to put things that are unimportant in this, because sometimes it wants to reload some things. Some things need to load first in order for other things to load, so you need to be careful what you put down there.
Summary: I personally found it helpful, and useful as well. I did have to study a little on the exact usage of this program to make it work really well.

Version: Startup Delayer 2.5.138
Pros: Could not get program to run.
Cons: Downloaded program 4times twice from R2 and twice from cnet, the R2 downloads said to down load runtime files (which I did (twice)) and program still will not run
Summary: I belive what most are saying, and would like to get a good clean copy, as I belive it would save startup time

Version: Startup Delayer 2.5.138
"Delays Startup Programs in a Simple Interface"
Pros: You can customize exactly how many seconds the programs are delayed. On startup, you can skip a process or hurry up the timer.
Cons: I thought this would make my boot up time much shorter, but it didn't. It's not the programs fault though.
Summary: Works perfectly for what it's made to do. If your having trouble because you don't know which startup process is which, try going to http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php?filter=.
