Stanza is a reader for books, available in apps for most devices. We downloaded Stanza from iTunes, and it installed quickly. The app is free.
Stanza lets you read books on your iDevice using a simple, elegant interface. Notably, compared with other reader apps, Stanza supports a wide range of file formats from PDF to EPUB, including those with DRM and without. In fact, we tested Stanza with almost a hundred different books over the space of a couple of months of commuting, and it opened every file we threw at it from different sources. When launched, Stanza shows a list of all books in the library, and lets you open an existing book or browse for new books from several sources. You can browse books by title, author, or even by front cover image. Each book opens to a table of contents and then into each book page by page. A status pop-up shows how far you are through each book, and you can move from page to page with swipes or touches or navigation keys.
We enjoyed using Stanza and it remains our favorite reader so far. We must not be the only ones to feel this way; this is one of the most popular apps on iTunes. Stanza worked flawlessly for us and it is highly recommended.

"A great app slowly dying"

Everything the review says it was.
Cons
Died under IOS 5, was given a reprieve by Lexcycle/Amazon with the notation that this will be the last update. Why bother putting time and energy into installing, customizing and downloading books into an app that will go away for good in the near future. When it breaks again after an Apple update (not Apples fault, but you it will happen) than it is gone for good.

Pros
None. A popular iOS ebook reading app owned by Amazon won't run under iOS 5, causing some users to fear that its days may be numbered.
Cons
The release of iOS 5 has broken Stanza, and as of yet there has been no update from Amazon. The iOS Kindle app was updated shortly before iOS 5 was released, so the iOS app team at Amazon is clearly paying attention to its flagship e-reader.
