The latest release of PCTools Spyware Doctor 5.5 addresses a number of nettlesome software glitches we experienced with version 5.0. However, the free trial version is not fully functional--a fact you will discover only after downloading, installing, and then running a complete system scan.
In our trial scans, Spyware Doctor repeatedly flagged several dozen harmless cookies as potential threats, more than any other antispyware product we tested. We were also unable to learn more about each threat or why Spyware Doctor flagged each. Clicking each threat opened our default browser to a generic threat page on the PCTools site.
Should you decide to remove the Spyware Doctor trial, the uninstall process isn't clean, leaving behind traces of PCTools software in both the directory and in the system registry.

"Detected all viruses and spyware !!! AWESOME"
Pros: Catches everything.
Easy to use.
VERY inexpensive.Cons: It won?t come to my house and tell my child to stop downloading music online. LOL

The scan flags up totally innocent cookies as threats
Not free (adverised as 'free') expensive
Doesnt remove itself if you uninstallSummary: I got a spyware virus on my compute and i cant seem to be able to get rid of it so i thought spyware doctor could help as adverised on their page. It cant.

"Don't get SD if you want Zone Alarm Internet Suite"
Pros: Does a good job finding all kinds of spyware and runs a virus check too.
Cons: Has conflicts with ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite. Actually ZAIS does as good a job as SD and has the firewall too.
Summary: Spyware Doctor isn't that great. Get the best all-in-one deal and forget SD.

Pros: I don't know because I haven't used it.
Cons: I wish you upeople would list the cost of this product at the end of the free trial. Who wants to order something that costs more than we can afford.
Summary: When you begin including the end cost after the free trial, I may be interested, otherwise, who wants to order a pig in a poke?
