Pros: has spyware doctor's huge database
has the same spyware doctor scan engine
Cons: only limited protection but thats what u get when u dont want to pay for a top notch product.

Pros: fast scans, not intrusive, very few if any pop ups. even the paid version is worth the money.
Cons: no cons, but if you decide to pay for this READ the agreement closely. pctools will automatically renew your subscription and charge your credit card. that was the only reason i canceled spyware doctor, but it is an excellent program.

Pros: I was having problems with the new lavasoft. The best freeware guy recommended SD. It is relatively small and picks up a lot of baddies.A good set it and forget it program, very easy to use. it scans and tells you when to fix by clicking one button.
Cons: A little time bringing up.
The full scan is long.

"Great to clean computer, real time protection requires the full version"
Pros: This is the best scan & clean software available. You get to use top of the line scan & clean technology for free, what can beat that?
This program is great for cleaning spyware off computers - highly recommend if your computer is already infected.
Cons: The most important real-time protection functions are disabled in the free version. Try using this with another anti-spyware program, such as one included in a security suite (and turn off Spyware Doctor's real time protection altogether) or at least use it with SpywareBlaster and leave the file protection (the only real time protection that works in the free version) on.
