From Topdownloads :Spyware and adware could be installed on your computer without your knowledge. These programs allow companies to monitor your Internet-browsing patterns and even to inundate you with annoying pop-up ads. SpyCleaner identifies and removes these surreptitiously installed applications. Using updatable reflists, which are similar to temporary Internet files, the program looks for traces of recognized adware modules. When it's finished searching, it displays a list of what was found and lets you select the items you'd like to remove from your system.
Version 8.6 contains new Live Update. Spy Cleaner now has extra scan functions. IE Hijack Repair can now open zipped file so that user do not have to unzip it first.

Version: SpyCleaner 8.6
"might be the best spy cleaner on the market"
Pros: I download and test most the new releases that Download.com offers,especially the spyware fighters, registry cleaners, and web browsers. I now have so many icons on my screen I can't see my wallpaper anymore. Today I added SpyCleaner 8.6 to my army of eighteen spy removers. I ran all eighteen programs first,which included Spy Sweeper, Spyware doctor,Adaware,Emco,a-squared,Microsoft anti spy,Mcafee anti spy,Pest patrol,Counter spy, and BP spyware remover,(just to name a few). This took about 2 hours to run all of them, and the last 12 found nothing, of course. I then ran SpyCleaner and it found nine tracking cookies that my whole army had missed! I found that very impresive. As soon as I infect my pc with some big bugs,180 search, bargain buddy, Save, Cool web search, and a few trojans from porn sights and p2p sharing programs, I will give it another test and see how it does. But for now I recommend this product and think you shoud purchase it before the price goes up, because it cost less than the others. TWO thumbs UP!
Cons: Scans a little slower then the others.

Pros: I've been troubled by spyware (adware specifically) for some time now. Spycleaner was able to get rid of such pests, and as a consequence, my pc's performance improved (particularly the Internet speed - better download time). At the moment, I don't have a job yet but when I do get one I'll make it a point to purchase this product.
