Summary
I've downloaded this JUNK, started installing and it installed additional C++ stuff, ok! But after installation it asked for a reboot to complete. Rebooted and what a surprise! Windows won't load... after the Vista welcome screen.... nothing! Just a blank black screen. Rebooted 15 times, nothing! Finally, went to sage mode, tried to uninstall - it won't let me. Then I decided to just delete the installation folder altogether... did that rebooted and I can finally see my desktop. That's fine but I can't launch any program! Not even my anti-virus (Antivir) loads... then I remember that I have a registry backup made a few days ago by CCleaner. Back to safe mode, merge registry backup, reboot, everything loads fine. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS CRAP!!!
It will delete important system files and may screw up your entire operating system!

It's free.It SEEMS to detect and REMOVE spyware that other antispyware programs can't find. Easy to download, customer service was prompt........CONS

Too many problems and conflicts with other antispyware programs.First SpySweeper, AVG antiroot kit, and Spyware DR+AV, all detect that spycatcher has hidden files and processes or rootkits. And every time I start my computer Spyware DR process guard detects two malicious processes from spycatcher and requests permission to remove them on next reboot. Next spycatcher detected that FBM ZeroSpyware LE was trying to hijack my homepage yet this wasn't detected by Spysweeper or Spyware DR. And when you contact spycatcher customer service about all of the problems I mentioned, they responded to the possible hijacking problem by asking me to send them a copy of the detection log for analysis. The detection log can not be sent with the free version you must have a payed version, otherwise the results are only sent anonymously. They would not comment about their quarintined files being detected as rootkits or malicious processes. Best thing to do is uninstall this program.

It identified and quarantined three spywares when it was first run, but since I couldn't find any of them in a Google search I'm not sure exactly what it was really doing.
Cons
Do you use Diskeeper? If so, you won't after you've installed this as it prevents the program from launching. The uninstall program didn't work properly and it took a system restore to remove it completely. It generates false positives, it's anything but transparent in operation, and it seemed to slow my system down.

I don't like this. It Detects some of my precious apps as SPYWARE! Now if Im not aware of my Installed software maybe this waste antispy would make my PC vain. I don't like the way it load on my start-up. It causes some software conflicts like in my HP Printer Driver!
It uses a lot of system resources.
If you are looking for a free anti-spy, why look those which are good and user-tested!
I suggest to use Ad-Aware than this waste!

I used this and it has sooo many conflicts its not funny! My comp was tuff to boot up after install. Had to do forced shut down twice. Finally comp booted and theier was immediate software conflicts. Many false positives. This is just a terribls app. Do not download!!!!!!

I was impressed by how much spyware was detected. It detected more than Ad-Aware and Spybot! It also didn't slow down my computer while scanning so i could do other stuff too.
Cons
For some reason, i wasn't able to open any other program (internet, Word, etc.) after I installed this program. I even tried restarting my computer a couple times. only after i uninstalled the program, could i access everything else.

This is the absolute worst and most dangerous app I ever tried. This crap is a system destroyer. No pros at all, pure trash! Conflicts with other apps run rampid. LOLOL!!!!!

First it was identified by two reputable apps as a rootkit. "SpySweeper" and "AVG Anti Root Kit". Takes over your system and destroys other security apps as well as damaging "Windows XP OS". Free is not free here. I had to reformat a great PC because the uninstall destroyed needed files for the OS to function. This app cost me eight hours of my time but luckily all my files are backed up on an external hard drive. Download this crap if you have the knowledge to reformat a computer and install at your own risk!

When trying to update, answer is "#%&@". Waiting answer from Tenebril. This and some other scanners think it's Hotbar spyware if you have made link "games.lnk".
