Pros: effective scan, not too hard on the resouces,user interface is fairly easy.website support for items you might be uncertain about.
Cons: will find needed dll files, so careful of what you delete

Pros: It brings up a lot of POSSIBLE spyware
Cons: After running spysweeper, adware se, and spybot I found spycatcher on the internet and decided to try it. It detected over 56 POSSIBLE spyware. After the scan it tell you the name of the spyware. The problem comes up with that it detected spyware that none of the other spyware software detected and even detected trojan horses on my computer that no antivirus product has detected. Also most of the files listed were listed as suspicous. When you click on the file name it brings you to there website, but for most of the files that were suspicous it couldn't tell me if it was spyware or a safe file. Also with so many spyware files that it found that the others did not, it might be a false positive, but I'm not sure. I would have to give this product 1 star and would not recommend for new computer users. You may end up deleting a file that is not a spyware file.

Pros: Quick scan completes instantly although a full scan takes quite a while. Very simple UI and very complex scanning. Excelent. It found spyware that none of my other scanners did.

Pros: Reported multiple infections i.e. coolwebsearch. Further investigation showed it was detecting items in the IE restricted list. Not good. Did however detect ActiveX used by Trend Housecall. (Good ActiveX by the way). Will use but only for extra info.
Cons: As above. Not to be used as main defender. Needs more work. My recommendation is Spy Sweeper as main with Spyware Doctor, Lavasoft Adaware etc as backup.

Pros: 3 stars means- this is a decent, solid program. It has no major flaws, BUT IT DIDN'T KNOCK MY SOCKS OFF. There may be similar programs that work better (for example, Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware and Spyware Blaster and Guard), have more features, or are easier to use.
Cons: 1)Resource hog- slows down computer a lot, especially if you relaunch Spycatcher after you exited it (my computer froze).
2)Takes forever to update.
3)Delete's files without asking! Some files may not be spyware and you might need it so use Spycatcher at your own risk.
