  "Different look! 3.5 stars is my rating."

  Pros: It's the best looking version yet. It works fine with "Vista" and all in all it's a good second of third choice in a dedicated anti spyware software. It has a new feature, anti spam that I didn't find as effective as I'd liked. It seems that the good choices in this type software are becomming less and less so, I can recommend this software. I like "Netgate" as a publisher.

  Cons: It's heavier, slower and not much more effective then the 2006 version. I prefer "counter Spy" and it's $10.00 cheaper. But, like I said, this is a good second choice. Far better then "AdAware 2007" and most others.

  Pros: HAVING TESTED AT LEAST 10 OTHER ANTI-SPYWARE PROGRAMMES THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST.

  I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE

  Pros: Completely automatic and so far has let no known problems through.

  Cons: Updating the software could be made easier and atomatic.

  "Whats this, a bug fix?"

  Pros: Well, if it is it didn't get the fix, fixed. I have always supported "Netgate" and "Spy Emergency" until now. The signature database is no larger is no larger then the last release of the 2006 version. The interface is improved. Everything else, like so many others has gone down the tubes. How can I still recommend this app when "Spyware Terminator is better and free?, especially when "Spyware Terminator" is better and free. Or "Counter Spy" which seriously outshines this app is cheaper. This is just another attempt to fix something that wasn't broken in the first place. I'd really like to see this app fixed, but until it is, "not recommended"!

  Cons: The price has gone up but the signature file has only gone up by the slightest margin. No more then a regular update. The scan times are significantly longer. The recourse usage is noticeably higher. It has gone from a good performer to an app I have filed as "average at best". Big deal that it's now "Vista Compatible". So is "Counter Spy" and it's cheaper, has a larger, by far data base and is lighter on recourses and is much more effective in it's shields, detection and removal capabilities.
