From PHD Computer Consultants :Spy-CD is a full text search engine for HTML, PDF, DOC, XLS, PPT, TXT, JPEG and TIFF CDs. It is platform-independent and runs in most browsers. The Spy-CD Java applet is a powerful search tool with word highlighting. Use the supplied Spy-CD-Wizard Windows tool to scan your web pages to build and edit the search database. Version 5.1 features JPEG/TIFF image meta-data indexed; works better with XP SP2.
What's new in this version:
- Search not enabled until search database loaded
- If highlighting popup blocked then page displayed anyway
- Normal searches find field words (if db built by Spyndex).
- Browser status bar cleared after file read (for HTML Results)
