Tiny but powerful, this video-editing utility is a great tool for amateur video editors. Installation is a snap and the program doesn't take up an enormous amount of memory. Split Join Convert Video does pretty much what its rambling name suggests. To split a video file, you enter the start and stop times for "cuts." The main program window is well-designed and easy to use. During testing we liked that with each edit, we could specify exactly what we wanted to do, as the program gives the user an impressive amount of control over each edit. When converting files, you can specify format, frame rate, and video file size. Most actions take only minutes to perform, even with some larger file sizes (we put a 50MB file through the motions, and it performed well). Overall, this program should be a great help to video editors.Publisher's description

"Does not work for large files"
Pros: Works for small files
Cons: I've got several 5Gb mpg files. The program thinks they are invalid.

Pros: Adware and the most terrible support you will ever incounter. Even the retail version had adware. Once you finaly remove all the adware the program will not work anymore. Email after email with no answer from support. This company is overseas and explains alot. No phone numbers to call no tech support ARGHHHHHHHH

"Crashed on first use....cant waste my time with this"
Cons: I set up 4 tasks and it crashed when I clicked to convert the videos. Who has time for crap like this? I expect more of software that has been positively reveiwed by CNet.
