"SplashID does exactly what it claims, and does it well."
Version: SplashID iPhone Desktop 5.01
Pros
1. Syncs with an OS X desktop app.
2. Fully configurable: make own categories and alter field names in existing categories on an entry-by-entry basis.
3. Selected fields can be masked unless explicitly opened, to hide sensitive data from onlookers.Cons
1. Error message on desktop app when quitting: may be Leopard problem.
2. Desktop app sometimes quits on sync.
3. Useful to be able to store facsimiles of some documents, eg, credit cards, birth certificates, in addition to tabular data.Summary
Tested on brand new, officially unlocked, but Jailbroken (with purplera1n) iPhone 3Gs.

"Don't Download this Update!!!"
Version: SplashID iPhone Desktop 5.0
Summary

The program worked very well prior to the current update. Now, the program crashes every time I try to sync with my iPhone. Therefore, for me, the program is now pretty useless. I went back to using Password Plus. It doesn't have an iPhone client but I think it does a better job of managing my passwords.
When SplashID fixes the bug in this latest update, I will update this post. But for now, it is terrible. -

Splash ID is a ver potential app that is quite intuitive and a safe vault for the zillion codes and logins we all accumulate. Nice interface, simple to use.
The sync between iPhone and desk(lap)top is a great idea and syncing worked as a charm, but now has dveleoped hiccups. Can't find the desktop app which should be ons for syncing to happen.
Mailing the support desk doesn't help, they never, ever gave me any reply. Maybe it's the nw iPhone software that's to blame, but please tell me so, Splash Data!
It's a paid for app but the management of this company apparently don't like their clients, or just don't care at all, or are raised without having to learn the basics of normal social behaviour, I don't know.
Pity, because I won't recommend it now, with bugs fixed and a better client service this could become winner app. Unfortunately these people are not worth your money. Yet.
