From Web browsers to spreadsheets, Spell Catcher Plus adeptly corrects spelling errors in virtually any Windows application. The utility's convenient interface pops up a noninvasive list of suggestions as soon as it detects a mistake, and it lets you make fixes without using the mouse. If the application doesn't recognize the term in question, you easily can teach it a new word. The program also doubles as a simple reference dictionary that supports major international languages such as German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. Other time-saving perks include automatic-abbreviation replacement and a feature that saves every keystroke. In our testing, the program not only worked perfectly in Opera and Internet Explorer but also didn't hog too many system resources or diminish PC performance, though the 15-day trial is a bit short for our tastes. Overall, we think Spell Checker Plus is a fine pick for spelling-challenged users of all stripes.Publisher's description

Version: Spell Catcher Plus 3.0 build 1842
Pros: Helps you spell correctly in any application you use, e-mails, chat rooms, CNET reviews, etc, etc. Just click on Spell Catcher Plus in your system tray and copy and paste the word you are unsure of and it will show you the correct spelling.
Cons: It's not free.
