Version: Speed It Up Free 4.51
"It really works and everyone should download."
Pros: This program really works and it's free.

Version: Speed It Up Free 4.51
Pros: I wasn't so sure that a small piece of software like this could really do the trick for my computer, but I was very wrong. I benchmarked my computer afterwards and it ranked two levels higher than before. I'd say that's a pretty good raise. Good going guys, I hope to see more software from this company in the future.
Cons: There seems to be a couple of small bugs and it takes a long time to do what it does, but besides that it's an overall great piece of software.

"Attempts hijack, phones home; some reviews here from company insiders"
Pros: This won't damage your computer much. It's nothing to be afraid of or freak out about. I don't doubt that it might speed up some computers, but it did not seem to make a difference on mine, for better or for worse.
Cons: There's clearly something very fishy going on with this software. 1. It attempts to hijack your chosen default browser or home page (use, e.g., WinPatrol to protect yourself). 2. It phones home -- I assume to send our usage data to Microsmart 3. It's full of hype. Triple your speed? Software? Unlikely. There's other hype like that in the software and its homepage. To me, that much hype signals other shady dealing. 4. If you check the profiles of some of the reviewers here, they're clearly Microsmart insiders. For example, jimsmith has written reviews only about Microsmart software, all of which get five stars from him, with exuberant reviews. In short, I think this is snake oil, and Microsmart seems like a snake.

Version: Speed It Up Free 4.51
"I havesuccessfully installed and used this application on both XP and Vista"
Pros: This is a MUST for anyone using Vista, as Vista uses more resources than any other Windows O/S due to the increased security measures, especially if you are not running a dual processor.
It does not create problems with Windows, nor does it conflict with any other software I am using. It is customizable.
Thanks for such a great product!
Cons: The only thing I don't like about it is when you are able to speed it up again after 1 hour, it pops up a small window that says "OK" to let you know, but it does not appear on top of any other applications so you have no idea it is there until you close or minimize all windows and programs. I am GLAD it doesn't appear on top, but would like to have the noticiation appear in a balloon above the icon in the taskbar.
