This novice-friendly utility blocks most email spam, but expect to spend some time learning the program. SpamExperts Home's clean interface resembles the Outlook three-pane layout. This application installs easily and immediately recognizes your email program. SpamExpert hooks into a Windows LSP layer to identify POP3 and IMAP connections. The first time you start your email program SpamExperts Home identifies your email domains and user information. To identify spam the application checks your emails against a database of spam. From there, emails are separated into three categories: Spam, Not Spam, and Unsure. You fine-tune the program by moving emails improperly marked as Spam to the Not Spam folder. You can also easily choose to block or allow select senders. Our primary gripe is that users must manually retrieve e-mails marked as Not Spam, a simple but unnecessary extra step. Although there are more robust spam-blocking applications available, users looking for an easy-to-install, well-performing utility will appreciate SpamExperts Home.
