SpamEater will connect with your Internet service provider's mail server and check each email message it finds there. It compares the information in the message with your valid email addresses and against an extensive listing of known spammers (more than 4,000 are included). If the email address is something other than your accepted ones, or if a match is found against the list of known spammers, then the message is deleted from the mail server. You can then connect with the mail server using your email client and download only the approved messages. This Pro version will also notify you when you have new, cleaned mail in your mailbox. It can notify you a WAV file or a pop-up message, and it can even launch your mail client. You can configure SpamEater to check mail at predefined intervals and set it to start automatically when you log in to Windows. New in this release is an option to quickly and easily retreive updates to the spammers list and automatically add the new entries to your existing spammers listing. SpamEater Pro is compatible with Windows 98.
