"Uses 25% when off"

Not used, was downloaded incase i ever wanted it.
Cons
It's plagued a lot of unsuspecting people with a process that loads in system on process list.
It makes the system process consume 25% CPU at ALL times even when you've never used it. I fixed this by uninstalling it months after I'd first installed it.Summary
Usually I would never bother making a comment on these things but I don't want people to get 25% of there CPU ruined by this piece of garbage.

Works great under Vista and 7. Records from your COMPUTER, not just ONLINE. Note the difference.

Summary
Prior to Win 8, I'm not getting any of the bad things the other comments have said. It recorded exactly what I heard. But I've got a moderate system, not a low-end or ancient one, so sound would be hard for a cheap system to record.

An example: one of my 5 minute recordings resulted in an mp3 which was around 2 minutes long... the last 3 minutes (not even) squished in at the end faster than all the rest. Also it sounded worse than a scratched record.

My Creative SB X-Fi sound card wouldn't allow me to record (no Microsoft Mixer appeared in Win 7 64bit sound control panel). SoundTap Streaming gets around this and does a good job recording at mp3 192k quality.
