From Sony Media Software :Sound Forge is professional sound-editing software for Windows. It includes an extensive set of audio processes, tools, and effects for manipulating audio. Sound Forge can be combined with any Windows-compatible sound card to create, record, edit, and refine audio files. Previous updates added the ability to synchronize audio and video with frame accuracy, and support for RealAudio and RealVideo, Active Streaming Format (ASF), and Java (AU). They also included the Sonic Foundry Batch Converter and Spectrum Analysis plug-ins; and supports other plug-ins based on Microsoft's DirectX Streaming Services architecture.
Version 5.0 adds 24-bit/192KHz support, 18 DirectX audio plugins, acoustic simulation, track-at-once CD burning, Wave Hammer mastering tools, CD ripping, Perfect Clarity Audio, an updated user interface, and more.
