Softros LAN Messenger is a secure network-messaging program for computer-to-computer exchange of messages and files through your corporate network (LAN, WAN). Softros LAN Messenger comes with a variety of handy features such as message notification alarms, personal or group messaging, file transfer, Window XP theme support, and an intuitive interface. This LAN messaging utility offers strong encryption options for all incoming and outgoing messages, guaranteeing no unauthorized person ever reads personal correspondence.

Version 3.6 includes an ability to group users. Broadcast messages can be sent to any combination of defined groups and individuals. Addressees are easily selected with checkboxes from those currently online. Users can choose to send messages with either Enter or the Ctrl-Enter key combination. This release adds conversational-style messaging and properly auto-configures to work with Windows Firewall.

Version: Softros LAN Messenger 3.6

"nice little proggy, BUT not worth paying for"

Pros: it works.. duh..

Cons: little and simple proggys like these should NOT demand a payment, 'cause it's a weeks work in C# or VB.NET, and that's just lame work... i would n-e-v-e-r pay (!!) for something as simple as this, since there is ::free:: software, which is very similar.

props for proggy, at least it's cute.
