This far-too-simple file eraser is outperformed by most apps in the genre. SoftAmbulance Free Eraser's cartoon-like dialog-size interface is easy to navigate, but that's the last positive point of this application.
Many apps in the genre allow users to drag and drop files to the interface. Not this program, as it requires adding files using the standard Windows browse tool. You can remove files from the list with a click or clear all by a simple button press. When you've finished adding files to the erase list, you click a button to initiate the process. The app erases the files, but mistakenly lists zero files wiped. Users then must click through two more screens to end the application.
SoftAmbulance Free Eraser works, but requires more steps than similar, easier-to-use apps. Even though it's freeware, we suggest you bypass this utility.
