SnapNDrag is a simple application that makes screen capture extremely easy. Just click a button to capture and then drag the result off to another application or to the Finder.
For example, to e-mail your captured screen, simply drag the result off and drop it on your e-mail application. No file dialog boxes to navigate and no temporary files to delete. It is that simple.
And best of all, SnapNDrag is free! There is really no reason not to download a copy today!
What's new in this version: Hitting the Return key while in the filename field now changes the filename. You no longer have to click on the thumbnail image for the name change to stick.

Use is intuitive. Works for my daily needs to create graphics into my emails.
Cons
User interface contains too much information. Should be able to create and save a default set of choices, but, what the heck, it works!

Better user interface than Grab that comes with my Mac.
Cons
None really, but I could still not capture a frame from a DVD, but this because of Apple, not this program.
Summary
The tools to capture a selection, window or the entire screen just work better than Grab that came with my computer. The SnapNDrag shortcut now lives at the bottom of my screen with my other shortcuts.

Used it for years - Always reliable - simple to use - no need to remember key strokes or combo clicks - free!! Am a "soft" user, great for my needs!!

I cannot find any defects - it has ALWAYS worked for me!

For the non-professional, this is the kind of Mac app I like best - simple in design, easy to use, no crashes - similar to Macaroni & Growl - they just sit around quietly bothering no-body, but ready for action on a moment's notice!!

Cons
Sometimes fails to capture a selection when doing several "snaps" in a row. Always works the first time opened (version 2.5.7 with OS 10.6.4) but then seems to be an issue with subsequent actions. Closing and re-opening the app solves the problem.
Summary
Because of the "Con" above, I highly recommend the free and much more capable Skitch.

After installing the upgrade, I felt a twinge of guilt for not having posted a review for this great product. As others have noted, Yellow Mug is both wonderfully old school and gloriously new tech; wonderfully products that do what they say they will with frequent timely updates. I use this program nearly every day and it is unobtrusive, there when you need it, gone when you don't, flexible, rock solid and reliable. What more could anyone ask for? Good price?,,, that too! This is what shareware should be all about and is what makes the Mac computing environment all that much better, and friendlier. Thanks to all involved in developing and delivering the Yellow Mug products. BTW, why don't you sell a sweet Yellow Mug on your site so your fans can proudly display their support as they sip their Java? -
