From TechSmith :SnagIt allows users to capture, manage, manipulate, and print images, text, and video. You can capture an entire screen, a window, or an arbitrary selection. SnagIt features support for capturing menus, the entire contents of scrolling windows, Direct X sources such as games and DVD, DOS screens, and desktop animation sequences. It also includes tools for processing image brightness, contrast, hue, sharpness, scale, color reduction, and color substitution. Additional features include a thumbnail browser, an audio-recording option, and much much more.
The new 6.1 version features a Printer Capture function that allows images from any application to be previewed and edited; these images are totally portable, so the recipient of the image does not have to use matching software. Other enhancements added to SnagIt 6.1 include desktop wallpaper, output of captured images, and a Web thumbnail creator.
