This space-based quest game's multitude of missions make it a good bet for folks who want a long-term diversion rather than a quick thrill. In Smugglers, you choose a character and a mission, then travel to different planets to accomplish your goals. Along the way you will meet both friendly and enemy spacecraft, and you can use the money you earn to bolster your ship or cargo. We suggest reading the step-by-step tutorial, though, since Smugglers is not necessarily an intuitive game. The graphics are decent enough, but the soundtrack is awesome, lending the perfect feel. You can save games and resume them later, deactivate sound, and choose how the game handles messages, but you don't get the option to play in full-screen mode. Fans of strategy games would do well to give Smugglers a shot.Publisher's description
From Niels Bauer Games :Smugglers is a turn-based science-fiction space-trading game. You have the option to be a greedy trader, an ambitious bounty hunter, a ruthless pirate, or a multitude of the many professions that the game has to offer. Through trading, fulfilling missions, or pirating, you earn the money and skills necessary to buy new ships and upgrade your equipment. Additionally, you'll have to manage a crew, board & plunder enemy ships, and even conquer star systems. The game offers an open-ended gameplay where the opportunities are virtually limitless, and your actions will ultimately have an impact on the galactic scale.
Version 4.0k may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
What's new in this version:

Version: Smugglers 4.0k
"A nice game to kill acouple of hours with"
Pros: good graphics for a turn based game
Cons: your only allowed to play in one sector
Summary: I know this is a Demo but it would have been nice to be able to move to at least one other sector, also the turn limit I thought was low considering most of that was used up in any fights you got into.

Cons: not very original, played many games like it.
Summary: as a whole, the demo gives enough action on this game, wouldn't purchase game.
