From SmartSync Software :SmartSync Pro is a universal tool for backing up and synchronizing your important data to your local drive; external flash, USB, or Zip drive; CD or DVD; NAS or other storage device; network volume; or even remote computer. If source data is destroyed or lost, it can easily be recovered. An intuitive wizard will help you set up what to copy and where and when to copy it. The program replicates only new and updated files, which substantially reduces synchronization time. SmartSync Pro allows you to synchronize files and folders when computers cannot be connected over a local network. Its filtering system lets you keep synchronized only the files you need. The application has a set of built-in features, such as a task scheduler, data compression, activity logging, notification, and password protection.

Pros: A fine product which is a pleasure to use. I am a backup fanatic and I use SmartSync Pro exclusively because of the great features and ease of use. If you have a problem, the author will fix it.

Pros: I had been looking for a synchronization product for a while a year ago and ended up using Peer Software's File-N-Sync for about the last 9 months. They recently upgraded and repackaged their product and wanted $$$ to upgrade, even for registered users, so I looked around and found this: A little app that is really smart, can manage multiple profiles, is very network friendly, working on deltas and not performing a comparison of the total volume or folder (unlike F&S), and has many configuration options. I particularly like the folder watch option, which triggers a replication when a change in in one of the folder in the profile is detected. I used for two days and then bought it! I primarily use it to synchronize multiple folders with work product from a laptop to servers MS, Novell & RUMBA at client sites, my corporate office, remotely (over VPN) and to my home server (OK... workstation!) all flawlessly!!! At $35 it is a bargain. Comprehensive logging and filtering options. Would recommend totally if you're looking to sync systems and want a decent tool to do so.

"Highly Recommended, Great Support"
Pros: SmartSync Pro provides pretty much every feature you could want for keeping PC's in sync and for handling disk to disk backup of files. Runs as Windows 2000 service so its easy to schedule stuff to happen while you are not around. Support is excellent. I had a little problem with access rights which they worked on diligently until it was fixed.
