It's still on the scrappy side, as Pac-Man spin-offs go, but Smart Pacman has come a long way. The ghosts look more or less like they do in the arcade version, and the sound effects are right on. The game now includes a full-screen mode, and the difficulty seems better calibrated too. Smart PacMan also lets you play on the ghosts' side, though the clumsy click-and-drag interface makes this more of an interesting experiment than a viable playing option. Smart Pacman scores extra points for its freeware price and light memory footprint. It won't dazzle PacMan diehards, but with further improvements of the maze graphics and tightening of the level design, Smart Pacman could be a freeware contender.Publisher's description
From Igor Galochkin :Take Pac-Man's or ghosts' side in the challenge. If playing for Pac-Man you must either collect all corns or just survive the round. If you decide to lead the ghost squad you have to capture Pac-Man in limited time. Ghosts are controlled in the same way as units in real-time strategy. You can play against a friend on single keyboard or let the AI play for the other side. The game includes 20-level campaigns for each side as well as 50 pre-designed maps and an editor for skirmish games.
Version 1.7 allows to pause the game and conveniently issue orders to your ghosts.

"Nice idea to play for the ghosts"
Pros: I liked the idea of commanding ghosts like in real-time strategy game.
Cons: It's quite hard to control the ghosts, and because of that playing for them gets too hard.
