SlimCleaner is a free utility that cleans, optimizes, repairs, and updates your PC based on the latest threats and issues. Antivirus programs have been doing that for years. But SlimCleaner pioneered the use of Cloud-based reporting and actual user feedback in designing its system cleaning and optimizing tools. SlimCleaner's unique color-coded Community Ratings system can help you decide which settings, programs, and processes are the best choice for your system by showing you at a glance what's safe, what's suspicious, and what's gotta go. SlimCleaner's colorful, tabbed interface doesn't seem much different from similar tools at first glance, but it actually gives you quick access to a lot of data, options, and settings. Tabs on the right side access each tool: Cleaner, Optimize, Software, Browsers, Hijack Log, Disk Tools, and Windows Tools. SlimCleaner takes pity on inexperienced users with one of the best Help sections we've seen, offering online help for member support, tutorials, and a full manual. Creating or signing in to your optional Slim Utilities account is easy (you can use Facebook) and enables access to Cloud resources.
SlimCleaner not only cleaned and optimized our system but also scanned our installed software, Web browsers, and other settings, identifying items as safe or in need of further attention. SlimCleaner's scans are extremely fast and err on the side of caution. For example, the Cleaner's Registry Section doesn't select anything by default, unlike the rest of the Cleaner's Sections: That keeps you from deleting the wrong things. The Optimize scan offered Cloud and AV data on each entry, as well as Community Ratings. We also ran each section separately by clicking the large Analyze button and also clicked the AutoClean button to let SlimCleaner's army of users decide for us (though you still have the last word on stuff like Web cookies). -Great Customizations! You can tell it exact files/folders to scan or which drivers or the whole dang computer! Up to you...
-This is also one of the very few Cleaners that will "dig deep" & found hidden folders & files that I didn't know were there & the other Cleaners missed.
-It will ask you if you want to create backups prior to making changes that you may regret.
-By far the BEST feature is the consumer rating cloud function...unsure on a whether to keep a program in your startups or not? Or is it really necessary to have this certain service enabled? Thanks to the community cloud, you can see the rankings, trust level, feedback, popularity, etc. of almost any program & not only is their a short explanation provided by SlimCleaner on what it does but it also shows you the comments & reviews made by consumers who have used that program or know of it & tell you point blank, Keep it, Kick it, or Optional if a "meh" user preference type item so often unnecessary but wont hurt to keepCons
I have yet to find one & the fact this is all free makes it REALLY hard to find something to complain about.

1) Recommendations from the Cloud are no more authoritative than Wikipedia. If you accept that a user-defined encyclopedia has any merit, you will probably (wrongly) take notice of the user opinions here. The problem is that there is no quality control, and no attempt made to seek critical views. Most computer users do not have the technical knowledge to express a useful view on the value of software or its role in their system. So, the views expressed in this software are worthless unless you know what you are doing anyway. Some of the contributions are flippant and ignorant.
2) The "Intelligent" defragger actually slowed my disk down. The "optimisation" is abysmal. It is also relatively slow.
3) I will keep Slimcleaner just to see if it gets better, but so far it is no better than, say, Glary Utilities or CCleaner.Summary
Novice users could actually wreck their system if they blindly followed the advice from the Cloud. There is no substitute for doing the work needed to understand how your system works. Then, and only then, is this software useful.

I found this program after getting tired of using CCleaner and wondering if I could find better after all these years.
I am so glad I did! This tool has a lot of features that are far better than CCleaner. It is faster (Much faster) at scanning. It comes packed with really useful tools like the software checker (Checks for updates).
Best of all, its FREE! Its crazy how good this is.
