The pickings sure aren't slim with this powerful browser, although one of the pickings took us some time to figure out. Slim Browser's tabbed interface allows you to look at multiple Web sites all at once. It looks and feels like the more popular Web browsers out there, with standard navigational and shortcut buttons, so you'll feel at ease trying to find your way around all of its features.
The extras will wow you. With more than a hundred skins to choose from, you can instantly change the appearance of the browser. One of our favorite features is the ability to create groups so that you can open and view your favorite sites with a single mouse click. There's also a shortcut menu so you can browse your Desktop, My Documents folder, and even the Control Panel--all from the browser window. The pop-up blocker is exceptional; we didn't encounter a single annoying ad during testing. What's more, you can view and recover blocked pop-ups in case there was something you missed.
It took us some time to figure out how to work the RSS feature, however. Luckily, the publisher provides an online forum, so we were able pinpoint an answer to our problem, and in no time, we were viewing our favorite RSS feeds directly from the browser. IE and Firefox beware: you've got some competition. We highly recommend users of all skill levels give Slim Browser a try.

Version: Slim Browser 4.10 build 015
"I don't see much difference."
Pros: It's still fast, light, customizable and a good alternative to "internet Explorer". It runs great with "XP" and "Vista" and has a solid popup blocker. It comes with built in multi search engines and provides easy access to my "Myway Email Account". Several skins are available at their homepage and some look great. Although there are a couple other solid "Internet Explorer" based browsers, "Slim Browser" remains my favorite.
Cons: to many pre loaded tool bars in the default program. I just turn a couple off and it's better.

Version: Slim Browser 4.10 build 015
Pros: Quirky, unusual take on the IE shell theme. Quite fast, especially from a cold start. Page load is not that much faster than IE7 however.
Cons: Cannot approach the sophistication or usability of full-fledged Trident-based browsers like Avant or Maxthon 2.0, nor does it have the latter's security improvements. Odd, not unttractive interface may appeal to some people, but otherwise nothing special at all.

"Slim put me back in the mix!"
Pros: Slim put me back in the mix with an IE based browser on my "Vista Home Premium" System. IE was slow enough before SP-1 for Vista was released a few days ago. After installing the Service Pack it was a dog! Slim hooked me up in place of IE. It's quick, light and has many pages of skins to choose from at the Flash Peak website. Even My "IDM" downloads with Slim. It's past security issues have beed addressed. Recomended for Vista users in place of IE.
Cons: Firefox on Vista, Netscape Navigator on XP Pro are the ones I use the most but Slim is a great option for the recourse grubbing Vista!
