The pickings sure aren't slim with this powerful browser, although one of the pickings took us some time to figure out. Slim Browser's tabbed interface allows you to look at multiple Web sites all at once. It looks and feels like the more popular Web browsers out there, with standard navigational and shortcut buttons, so you'll feel at ease trying to find your way around all of its features.
The extras will wow you. With more than a hundred skins to choose from, you can instantly change the appearance of the browser. One of our favorite features is the ability to create groups so that you can open and view your favorite sites with a single mouse click. There's also a shortcut menu so you can browse your Desktop, My Documents folder, and even the Control Panel--all from the browser window. The pop-up blocker is exceptional; we didn't encounter a single annoying ad during testing. What's more, you can view and recover blocked pop-ups in case there was something you missed.
It took us some time to figure out how to work the RSS feature, however. Luckily, the publisher provides an online forum, so we were able pinpoint an answer to our problem, and in no time, we were viewing our favorite RSS feeds directly from the browser. IE and Firefox beware: you've got some competition. We highly recommend users of all skill levels give Slim Browser a try.

Version: Slim Browser 4.10 build 009
"This is very a very fast browser, but I can only give it 3.5 stars for now."
Pros: Maybe the fastest. It's customizable with many great skins. Imports all of my favorites and home page. But, like all IE based browsers, the newest version of "Java Runtime" doesn't work fully with it. Now, do I blame this on "Java" or the browsers? Who knows? But at times, I get a "Java" script error with this and all IE based browser. I do think it's the safest version of "Slim Browser" to date and like it a lot. It works great with "Vista" and it's installed on my computers. But because of these errors, I primarily use "Firefox" and "Opera" but neither is nearly this fast.
Cons: Still has to many tool bars by default. A couple have to be turned off to have more room in the browser to work.

Version: Slim Browser 4.10 build 009
Pros: After years of using Avant I finally got tired of waiting for them to fix their latest mess-up. Research led me to Slim Browser. It has so many more features than Avant. No more hitting the floating photo bar to enlarge a picture: they have an icon on the toolbar for just that reason. Search engines: tons to chose from, quick click and you're checking anything from ebay to yahoo, acronyms and dictioneries included. Edit webpages right there. Wide range of features to select for personalized toolbars. SB loads pages really fast! A big plus!
Cons: There are several choices to close page tabs. I often right click. I'm used to CLOSE being on the bottom of the dialog box. SB has it at the top. Hopefully they'll move it down soon.

Version: Slim Browser 4.10 build 009
Pros: Gets better with each newest version. I can get into Yahoo games, which for some unknown reasons, I can not get into using IE7.

Version: Slim Browser 4.10 build 009
Pros: This is the best of all the browsers. Does everything you want a browser to do, and ignores all the junk the other browsers foist upon you. Why is this wonderful browser not used by everyone?
Cons: Everyone should know about this. Obviously not enough promotion.
