The pickings sure aren't slim with this powerful browser, although one of the pickings took us some time to figure out. Slim Browser's tabbed interface allows you to look at multiple Web sites all at once. It looks and feels like the more popular Web browsers out there, with standard navigational and shortcut buttons, so you'll feel at ease trying to find your way around all of its features.
The extras will wow you. With more than a hundred skins to choose from, you can instantly change the appearance of the browser. One of our favorite features is the ability to create groups so that you can open and view your favorite sites with a single mouse click. There's also a shortcut menu so you can browse your Desktop, My Documents folder, and even the Control Panel--all from the browser window. The pop-up blocker is exceptional; we didn't encounter a single annoying ad during testing. What's more, you can view and recover blocked pop-ups in case there was something you missed.
It took us some time to figure out how to work the RSS feature, however. Luckily, the publisher provides an online forum, so we were able pinpoint an answer to our problem, and in no time, we were viewing our favorite RSS feeds directly from the browser. IE and Firefox beware: you've got some competition. We highly recommend users of all skill levels give Slim Browser a try.
Publisher's description
From FlashPeak :Slim Browser is a tabbed, multisite Web browser. The recoverable pop-up killer identifies and blocks pop-up ads without killing a desirable window by mistake. A quick-search bar provides instant access to predefined search engines. Extensive support for skins lets you tailor Slim Browser to your own preferences. The AutoLogin feature automatically logs you in to predefined sites with one click. Script-error suppression eliminates annoying script-error dialogs. Internet Explorer toolbars can be integrated seamlessly with Slim Browser. Site groups let you open a series of sites all at once with only one click. Slim Browser provides special support for Web developers with a syntax-highlighted HTML/script editor and a batchable FTP uploader.

Version: Slim Browser 4.05 build 007
"This feels a lot like Maxthon"
Pros: Very similar to Maxthon which isn't a bad thing. Pretty customisable and a few skins to pick and choose from. Able to clear cache on exit. Has mouse gestures aswell so thumbs up there too. Will no doubt have the geekoid firefox lovers whining about security which is unfortunately an expected and regular occurence here on download.com but aslong as you know how to make windows safe you'll be fine. A worthy browser which leaves me wondering if this or Maxthon should be my default browser.
Cons: Only thing that bugs me a bit is that the close button isn't exactly in the furthest reaches of the top right hand corner so i often miss the mark on closing Slim Browser and usually close it on the second or third click.

Version: Slim Browser 4.05 build 007
Pros: Slim Browser's AutoLogin feature is amazing. Provides a shortcut to view the Desktop. Combines the power of Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer; you can surf the web and view personal files at the same time! RSS support is availble. Imports bookmarks and favorites from Internet Explorer. Supports many languages.
Cons: Compare to Ace Explorer! Plus, this product takes a while to get used to. It is also vulnerable to freezing. Many redundant options can be found on the toolbars. Overall, it still makes a better alternative over Internet Explorer.

Version: Slim Browser 4.05 build 007
Pros: I've tried them all and it's by far the fastest and most configurable. One user complained it uses "my search". Yes it's provided as standard, however you just need to right click on the toolbar and go to XML toolbars, then deselect mysearch. I've never experienced any bugs at all using windows 2000, inspite of their continued upgrades and minor bug fixes. If you are having problems with the favorites menu (Mine's always worked far better than IE's), download a program called 1st Turborun which is free and spy/adware free. You'll never find favorites the old way again (Use the hot-keys for 2 second site location)
Cons: I have never found even one!

Version: Slim Browser 4.05 build 007
Pros: I've a slow computer (500Mhz) and I've tested many browsers including Avant, Mozilla, Opera, Netscape, Etc. But SlimBrowser is the most stable, complete and usefull. Install it and see...
Cons: Nothing at all... it's a very handfull program.
