With its free Internet calling service, Skype is turning the international telecommunications market on its head. This download now brings the service's high-quality voice calls, easy instant messaging, and voicemail to handheld computers. Users can make international calls to other Skype users for free, simply by selecting the desired person from the contact list and pushing the Call button. The service also allows users to call regular land-line and mobile-phone numbers, although this feature costs extra money. The Skype interface is simple and intuitive, with a tab-based design that even beginners can figure out quickly. The program guides new users through the installation process, bringing them painlessly online. All told, we would happily recommend this to anyone with a Pocket PC.Publisher's description

"Love Skype, but mobile is horrible."
Pros: I like that you can use chat.
Cons: Sends audio to Speaker, Terrible malfunction in audio as well. I use a Tmobile Dash.
Summary: The product sends the audio to your speaker and not your ear. I am not sure if they just want you to but their wi-fi phones, so they "can't figure that one out", or if the pulled a Microsoft on us and released it way way too soon. Epic FAIL on their... read more >>

"Works great with text, bad with voice."
Pros: This program IS excellent with text chatting on Skype when you are on the go. Just make sure your friends know you are using your mobile device.
Cons: I have not been able to get the voice calls to work on my Windows Pocket PC. It is an HTC-PPC 600. I do not know how it works on other mobile devices.
