From Firetrust:

SiteHound protects you and your computer from scams, spyware, adware, security risks, viruses, and objectionable content while you surf the Web. SiteHound is a prevention tool to stop you getting infected or being vulnerable to Internet threats in the first place. With SiteHound, when you browse the Internet, you're shown a warning page every time you go to a site, which is a known scam, potentially loads viruses or spyware on to your computer, has questionable content or anything you would not consider reasonable.

You are only warned about the dangers of the site, but not actually prevented from visiting the site if you want to visit it. Version 2 includes speed improvements and new look.

Get a warning when you visit sites that may leave your system vulnerable to security risks or contain objectionable content, but the task is more than SiteHound can handle. It works by adding an unobtrusive toolbar to your browser and downloading a list of suspect Web sites. If you enter a URL for one of the sites listed in its database, SiteHound opens a warning page; from there you can continue to the site, return to the previous page, or go to your home page. Despite its claims, we were able to visit some gambling and porn sites, which points to the limits of relying on a database of verboten URLs instead of using a dynamic filter. On the downside, SiteHound only works with Internet Explorer 5.5 and later and you must jump through hoops to get it running, including creating a user ID. SiteHound might be an adequate first-time browser protection tool, but more effective utilities are around for people who want to keep some sites off limits.
