These days, even casual Web surfing can expose you to threats such as covert spyware installs and browser hijacks. This free and ingenious little Firefox extension gives you a leg up online by alerting you to potentially hazardous Web sites. SiteAdvisor appears as an unobtrusive icon in Firefox's lower-left corner. Whenever you visit a new site, the icon will display one of three colors: green means it's safe, yellow means it's iffy, and red indicates the existence of potential threats or annoyances. Clicking the arrow icon on the interface gives you an option for viewing more details, where you'll get in-depth information about the site you're visiting. SiteAdvisor alerts users as to whether a site has been known to bundle adware or spyware, unleash a deluge of pop-ups, or spam visitors. In our tests, SiteAdvisor turned out accurate and reliable results. And while it doesn't have a wide array of features, we really like the URL highlighter. Enabling this feature will display site rankings directly from your search engine, helping to guard you against drive-by installs that may initiate as soon as you type a URL. We urge any regular Firefox user who's concerned about his or her online safety to take this no-cost extension for a spin.Publisher's description
From McAfee :SiteAdvisor helps protect you from all kinds of Web-based security threats including spyware, adware, spam, viruses, browser exploits, phishing, online fraud and identity theft. Our automated testers continually patrol the Web to browse sites, download files, and sign-up for things with e-mail addresses. As you search, browse, download or register online, SiteAdvisor's safety ratings help you stay safe and in control.

Version: SiteAdvisor for Firefox beta
Pros: Another superb plugin for Firefox to make your browsing experience more secure and pleasurable. Funny thing is it gave this site (Download.com) a yellow pass and not a green one! Still it's not a problem. Automatically blocks threats and warns you of risky sites. What more can you say or ask for?
Cons: None.

Version: SiteAdvisor for Firefox beta
"Very Helpful in Keeping Malicious Content From Your Computer"
Pros: This little unobtrusive program is perfect for those who regularly explore the net. It tells you everything you need to know about the site. How many emails it sends, the pop-up amount, the downloads, all in great detail. It even tells you if the sites it branches off to have any bad content! I highly recommend this program for any FireFox user. It will make your browser a lot more secure.
Cons: Not all sites are tested, but expecting that is absurd.

Version: SiteAdvisor for Firefox beta
Pros: So nicely classfies it in a easy-to-understand GREEN, YELLOW and RED classification.
Also gives an in-depth analysis (if you wanna know more really) of the weblink you've accessed.
ROCKS, must have!!!
Cons: None that I can find, swear :-]
