Publisher's Description
From Approximatrix:
Simply Fortran has been designed from the start with GFortran integration. The Simply Fortran development environment has been tested using the powerful, open-source Fortran compiler and its related GNU tools. Simply Fortran ships and integrates with the Insight Debugger, a graphical front end to the GNU Debugger, GDB. Insight provides a graphical user interface for debugging Fortran programs and projects, and it is available immediately from the Simply Fortran menus or toolbar.
What's new in this version: Version 1.30 fixes a minor bug in compiler options that could theoretically cause Integrated Development Environment crashes.

"Great for Fortran 90/95 users"
Version: Simply Fortran 1.30
Pros
Very easy to use. The 'Project' feature is cool - keeps all files relevant to a project in one place and make them available for view and edit. The editor is user friendly - color codes for different statement types makes it easy to write code. Code, binary data files etc. are also portable, as long as the system is of the same type (e.g. 64 bit).
Cons
Sometimes the compiler gives error warnings where there shouldn't be any (e.g. 'possible conversion of real*8 to real*4, when double precision has been declared - it'll let you compile and run anyway and it will run fine if the code is really ok). Also wish the Gnuplot graphing tools were integrated into this package. I generate data files using SF, which I then plot using Gnuplot, separately. Wish there was an integrated Gnuplot menu within the same interface especially since I write and maintain a Gnuplot script file as part of a Project; now if only I could click on the script and Gnuplot would automatically open up and plot it. :)
Summary
Very worth it.
