RAW images are often referred to as "Digital Negatives" by photographers due to the maximum dynamic range they contain. Why SilverFast DC? For all listed cameras SilverFast also fully supports Adobe DNG as an input format. If a camera is not listed as supported, not all camera information might be present in the DNG file. Still, such DNG files can of course be read and processed by SilverFast.

Pros
Very nice for adjusting selfmade images, which are not the best shots.
The virtual light table helps in managing, organizing and printing the images.Cons
The prof. version sounds even more interesting, but is a bit pricey.
