From SiSoftware :SiSoftware Sandra is a 32 and 64-bit Windows system analyzer that includes benchmarking, testing, and listing modules. It tries to go beyond other utilities to show you more of what is really going on under the hood so you draw comparisons at both a high and low-level in a single product. You can get information about the CPU, chipset, video adapter, ports, printers, sound card, memory, network, Windows internals, AGP, ODBC Connections, and USB2.
Adds support for newly released hardware devices (CPUs, chipsets, hardware monitor chips, phones, and PDAs). Version XI b includes German help file and various fixes.

Version: SiSoftware Sandra Lite XI b
"Aint what she used to be. Avoid this!"
Pros: OLD versions of Sandra were functional and efficient.
Cons: Hung on starting after installation. Installed two services, one of which ate 99% cpu, rendering my P4 laptop extremely unresponsive. Uninstallation (after a clean shutdown and restart) left a few directories in my program files and my registry full of crap... I spent 10 min manually removing 'Sisoft Sandra' registry entries.
This program is junk, and the sloppy uninstall is a prime example of why Windows machines bog down over time. Avoid this like the plague. SiSoft, shame on you.

Pros: Did not fry any component.
Cons: Didn't have the chance to fry anything, because it didn't start after install without errors. Might be a decent product, just not for XP pro SP2.

Cons: I downloaded and installed this program, but it does not load. I click on the icon, but nothing happens.

"Made my built-on NIC and two RAM boards worthless"
Pros: I had used an earlier version before. This one will give you info about your computer.
Cons: It toasted two RAM boards (pc3200, 512MB x 2) and now my NIC shows disconnected! I had used earlier versions but this one was hard to understand and it did major damage to the NIC and RAM.
It said that it would tax my system and it did!
