Though it offers a couple of useful features, this browser add-on is basically a promotional tool for the ShopFree Web site. Almost half of this toolbar's real estate is devoted to a scrolling marquee that advertises various free products you can obtain at the developer's site. You'll also find a large button that will take you directly to ShopFree.com. Despite these dubious additions, ShopFree Toolbar does pack a couple of handy, albeit pedestrian, features. You can search Google, Froogle, and Amazon.com and quickly delete your browser cookies. The pop-up blocker offers only average performance, but be warned that it's extremely bare-bones and lacks a whitelist, a log of blocked ads, and notification options. If you routinely visit ShopFree.com, you'll certainly benefit from this toolbar, but most average users won't be impressed.

  "Why would anyone bother with this?"

  Pros: ????????????

  Cons: Mozilla Firefox comes standard with a search bar that searches Gooogle, Ebay, Amazon, Dictionary.com and Yahoo! Why do people even bother writing obsolete junk programs like this?
