"The last backup product you'll ever need to buy."

Pros
Provides as much or as little backup as you desire - from a folder or two to your complete hard drive. Internal, external - it handles it all. The only product I know that can perform bare metal restores to a new machine without errors.
Cons
It uses a lot of resources when running but as long as it is set to run during periods of no other activity, it isn't really an issue.

Provides sufficient options to give the user control over what and when to backup
Cons
Interfacing with networked storage could be accompished easier; however, you can get there.
Summary
Bottom line the product does what it is advertised to do and does it well. I'd like to see a better approach to activation when upgrading to a new O/S or rebuilding on the same machine vs. deactivating (if you remeber) and then reactivating.

Pros
This software will backup drives either as completely or incrementally. Backups can be scheduled to execute automatically. File backups can easily be restored at the file level from incremental or back to last complete backup.
Cons
Wish the would incorporate more disk utility functions such as disk to disk copy, etc, Also wish they would incorporate a method of waking a PC from sleep to perform backups and then go back to sleep.
Summary
This software has never failed me when in need. Restoring couldn't be simpler.

Pros
Does what it says it will do, period. Works great with my eSATA drive too. Backs up my whole system in 30 minutes, and I am a power user.
Cons
The initial learning curve was a bit much for me, but this was the first serious backup utility I had ever used.
Summary
I would buy this program again, and I recommend it to everyone that I do simple computer maintenance for. Just make sure to remember that you will need a drive (partition) of equal size or larger than the original to restore to.

I use to be ShadowProtects #1 Fan.
Does not bootstrap hard drive like Acronis or Paragon, which can render a healthy system useless if it fails before you can make your first backup.Cons
All that speed just to fail at recovery. No esata support. No technical support. Not able to join Shadowprotect forum, even for paid users like me. No disk to disk cloning, no really.
Summary
It was great but every update gets buggier and buggier. Software engineers do not add drivers to the Shadowprotect recovery disc so that you will have to when you are trying to recover your system, just to make your recovery process that much more complicated and enjoyable. If you are looking for an industrial imaging and backup solution look elsewhere or you will be in a bind. This use to be the best backup software available, No More!
