Faulty functionality in some of this shutdown manager's features offset its ease of use. Segetronics AutoShutDown's dialog-size interface uses simple pull-down menus to enable functions. The automatic shutdown feature operates, but we weren't so successful in getting others to work.
It is easy to set this program to shut down your system. You merely use the pull-down menu to shutdown at a fixed or relative time. Setting the exact time or the number of minutes until shutdown takes just a second. Segetronics AutoShutDown's menu includes a dialog to perform other scheduled functions such as sending a reminder or running a program. Unfortunately, our testers were frustrated when the program wouldn't save the settings for scheduled actions.
The program's 15-day trial is long enough to test the automatic shutdown capabilities, which is all that really works. Users looking for the schedule functions will be frustrated by the program's consistent failure to perform. There are many programs like AutoShutDown that are just as easy to set and offer better and more effective functionality.

Version: Segetronics AutoShutDown 2
"Nice, Easy-to-use program to automate shutdowns, restarts and hibernations."
Pros: The product is small enough yet quite handy. I especially liked the way it can be hidden so that it does not obstruct you but you can access it when you need to from the system tray.
I found the quick link feature quite useful as well, this allows you shut down, restart or suspend your system immediately.
I have tried a few programs and this is one of the few ones that allow me set a shut down time longer than 24 hours.
I have a windows media centre edition and thus i use my computer as a music player and I found that with this program I can listen to my jazz music while i fall asleep and the program can hibernate my PC later on.
Overall, I think its a neat little program and for $6, it's a bargain compared to similar programs that i have tried.
Cons: It requires the .Net Framework which although is automatically downloaded, takes quite sometime to install. However, as we are stuck with Microsoft Windows and this is a new generation framework from microsoft we can expect more programs to rely on the .Net Framework in the future.
If you have the program automatically start with windows, it does not tell you when your evaluation copy will expire.
