Though we would have liked more encryption options, this program sports a very basic, easy-to-use interface that is perfect for novice users.

Secura Archiver features an intuitive menu toolbar. The corresponding command buttons are colorful and to the point. Getting started was very easy; as all we had to do was click the New button to create a new database. We were able to add new files very quickly by browsing for, and checking off on, the files we wanted to archive in our newly created database. Likewise, deleting selected files from the archive involved the simple click of the Delete button. The program offers secure protection by both password and key generation. It's not clear what kind of encryption method the program employs, and it only offers its default choice. Other programs let you select the encryption algorithm and even send files to others. But even so, this program successfully archived all of our selected files. We were also able to extract the files to our selected location.

The 30-day trial period is more than enough time to get acquainted with the program. A built-in Help feature comes with the program, although we don't think you'll need it. If you're new to encryption programs or are looking for a no-nonsense approach to file encryption, we highly recommend Secura Archiver as a worthy tool.
