The parental controls features let the parents block other messengers, mask foul language, block Web based chat sites and set access hours to prevent their children from chatting online with stranger. It let parents approve who are allowed to chat with their children. Password protected controls put you in charge. Children cannot circumvent around Safe Chat.
Version 3.1 includes unspecified updates.

This user-friendly program makes controlling chat conversations easy enough for the PC-challenged parent to follow. Safe Chat Messenger with Parental Controls has a Wizard-guided setup that allows you to enter a password that guards access to controls and an e-mail address for alert delivery. Safe Chat Messenger Parental Controls takes command of MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, AIM, and ICQ. You'll be able to enlist keyword blocks, authorize your children's contact list, and schedule access hours for Internet use, chat conversations, and other software. Easily block chats that take place on specific sites or block the entire site if necessary. File sharing, downloads, and even pictures are restricted at your discretion and you'll have access to chat logs.
The only downside is the short 14-day trial. Regardless, parents with any PC skill level will appreciate its effective and comprehensive tools to help safeguard and monitor their kids' computer activities.
