Tired of providing a password to log on to your PC when you launch it each day? This utility takes care of that for you, and its encryption features supposedly prevent anyone from uncovering your password from the system. But is that really what your want to do?

Safe AutoLogon provides your password to the system automatically when you power up your PC. At first run, the utility opens a simple dialog box for you to enter your username, password, and domain. In our tests, the utility worked like a breeze. We no longer had to select our user account and supply our password to launch Windows and begin working. The problem comes, of course, from a system with multiple users. Any of them can boot the PC, and it'll automatically launch the default user account, not theirs.

Safe AutoLogon worked fine in our tests, and the 30-day demo limit is generous enough for anyone to determine whether to pay for a registered version. From our perspective, negating a security feature, even if you don't share your computer, may not be the best course of action.

Publisher's description

From WM Software :

Safe AutoLogon automatically logs a user on when the computer is restarted or powered on. The logon password is always safely stored in a maximum 256-bit AES/Triple DES encryption. Benefits: Give users access to network resources without having to have them type; Increased security by users not knowing (or being able to change) their network; Solves the problem of manually changing passwords at each computer for automatic logon; Change logon passwords, even for those computers that are not yet turned on; Centrally manage and change the logon password for Safe AutoLogon users from one location; Updates Active Directory password; Corporate security - logon to a computer with one username/password, optionally locking the desktop. To address the needs of Enterprise customers, WM Software created a companion product to handle password updates, the Safe AutoLogon Password Server (SALPS). SALPS allows passwords to be centrally updated and sent to the clients before an automatic logon takes place, eliminating time-consuming manual client updating and notifying users of password changes.

What's new in this version:

Now integrated for Enterprise cusgtomers with central password change management using our Safe AutoLogon Password Server.
