Monitor hard drive activity from the system tray.

DriveGLEAM is a software LED for your hard drives read/write activity in the system notification area (tray). It also supports output via parallel port so that you can have a red led for write and a green led for read access for example. Key features: - Monitor physical disks or partitions (or both) - Read / Write - ReadWrite and Idle status indicators - Indicators in tray or direct output to the parallel port (to drive LED's).

Been looking for something like this for years as a tech. Found and employed many: Even creating portable versions of professional software. This simply works and shows hardware usage. Very useful in this line of work and great for curious home-user. This simple coding is FAR underrated. Thanks!

Pros
Allows you to have multiple tray icons to display drive activity for multiple drives at once. Simple to use. Just what I needed to monitor the drive activity for my external drives. FREE.
Cons
Got a program crash when a removable drive was unplugged, but it worked on unplug most of the time. Not a big problem.
