The RoAClient MUD Client is a FREE graphical MUD client for Win95/98/ME/NT/2K/XP with support for VT100/ANSI colors, unlimited triggers, aliases, nicknames, highlights, gags, events, unlimited color scrollback, split-screen scrollback, profile support for multiplaying, autoconnect, custom buttons, and more.
Although specifically designed for MUD use (and originally only for RoA MUDBase MUDs), it can be used to connect to most Telnet-based games or chat-lines.
What's new in this version:
- Version 5.1 introduces a limited auto-mapper.

"Great free MUD Client."

Pros
I've been using this client since 2002 and I love it. It's fully functional, lightweight, and FREE. I stopped using my registered zMUD client for this.
Cons
Automap is not so great but that's no big deal. Colors and other options need a little tweaking the first time you load it up if you want it to run like zMUD.
Summary
Sorry I'm not much of a tech user and I wrote this review on impulse without doing any research. I haven't used any other clients in a very long time. 8 years ago I tried all the available free ones and RoAClient was by far the best and I still use it to this day. Unfortunately it's so obscure that when someone asks for a good free MUD Client on chat they get one recommendation for RoAClient from me and 30 for GMUD from other people. :(
