Ripcast lets you record streaming MP3 music from radio stations listed on Shoutcast.com. It makes recording easier in many ways: It can automatically split the stream into audio tracks and assign ID3 tags, and the timer can schedule the program to record anytime, although only from one radio station. The dull interface is far from straightforward, though, and has many small faults. For example, you can't see recorded songs as a list, and it takes too much fuss to schedule a rip. Worse, there is no help file for this version. Though it doesn't quite live up to its promise, radio fans may appreciate RipCast.Publisher's description
From Xoteck Software :RipCast allows you to download music from streaming-audio stations, saving each song as a separately titled MP3. A station browser gives you the ability to browse thousands of streams and music genres, all available for download. Streams can be easily downloaded with a single click in your Web browser. RipCast has an easy-to-use interface and integrates with your existing media player and Web browser. The Auto-enqueue feature can add songs to your Winamp playlist as they download for continuous listening. RipCast automatically builds your music library as songs download. Songs are sorted and added to a music library, which you can manage from within RipCast. An autorecord timer lets you schedule recordings to start while you're away from your computer. HTTP authentication allows you to download from premium service providers. Features include simultaneous downloading, smart track-splitting, automatic ID3-tagging, a Favorites manager, an HTTP proxy, and bandwidth monitoring.

Version: RipCast 1.9
"Not intuative / Not easy to switch between listen & record"
Pros: It's good to be able to record streams but....
Cons: Same issues as stated in the summary. Lack of simple nav buttons back and forth make use miserable. Recording starts or stops at random locations. You got something better???
